I grew up in the Midwest and moved to Georgia when I was in high school. I have always loved being outdoors and exploring. I got my first Jeep (YJ) in college and have been hooked ever since.
Three years ago, I bought my current Jeep, a 2017 JKU Sport which I named “Sandman.” It has been an awesome journey that has become a lifestyle. We have been able to see and explore so many places we would never have gone without our Jeep. Also, we have made so many friends and partnered with amazing companies like 7Nations.
Sandman’s name comes from my love of music as a drummer and a nod to my favorite band, but also to the first wheeling experience I had in Arizona (Sandman Trail near Florence, AZ) which became a catalyst for getting my JKU. Not to mention the name seemed appropriate for the Gobi finish.
I have so much more I still want to do on my build and so many places I want to wheel, so I am excited to share my experiences with this awesome community!
